recovering a lampshade

You will need scissors, washable marker or chalk, and a hot glue gun.  The steps are outlined below :

Trace pattern by rolling shade on fabric while using chalk or washable marker. With marker or chalk add 1 " all around pattern then cut.

Lay shade on its side. Fold side of pattern 1/2" and hot glue onto shade. Then glue top and bottom around edges onto shade. I clip the top edge in 3 or 4 places to go around the frame pieces.

Stand back and admire !
