teacher gifts
I wrapped up some handmade journals and bookmarks last night to give to the teachers today. I used paper bags (cut up) for the wrapping and Martha baker’s twine and labels. I also made a batch of Emeril Legasse’s recipe for banana bread. The kids ate it and liked it so I figure it must be good. I have 3 hours to myself today to finish other stuff …

family cookbook project progress
I have taken the 30 some odd recipes I have received from my very helpful family and started creating our family recipe book. It’s surprisingly interesting to see what recipes people submit, how they are written out, and so on. I am trying to keep the cost somewhat low so I gave up the idea of cute little binders and went for report covers. I’ll post another picture when I have more progress made. I’m so glad I am halfway done-it’s due by Dec. 24th…
